Unit 1: Exploration Activity: Assessments
What are your interests?
Recommended grade levels: 6- 12
Objective: Understand your interests
It is important to get to know yourself and understand your wants and needs as you plan your
future. After taking the assessment tests, you may be surprised at what you find! These self-tests
will assist you in making more informed decisions as you discover your passion and move
towards a career that will make you happy.

Task: Take the interest assessment. Once you are complete, move on to the next assessment. Plan to complete all assessments over the course of one month. |
Getting Started:
1. Log in to your account and click the tab on your home page that says,
“Create Your Profile.”
2. Select the tab that says, “Discover Careers.”
3. Then click on the purple box called “Get to know Yourself.”
4. Choose the assessment test to take first. We suggest starting with “What are
your interests?” To the right of “What are your Interests,” click on the blue
box called GET STARTED.
5. Take the test. When you finish, check out your results and save them!
6. See what the results reveal about your personality. Read about what each of
the traits mean.
7. Once you understand the results, you can click in any of the boxes to see
what careers are associated with these traits.
8. You may want to save some careers to your “My Careers List” page to
explore in future units.
9. After you have completed the first assessment, move on to the second,
“What are my skills?” Repeat steps 1-8.
